Friends Of Reevis Mountain School
A meeting place for the friends of Reevis Mountain School to gather to exchange information, make plans and support the work of Peter Bigfoot and his team.
Happy Thanksgiving time to all of our Friends in the Reevis Mountain School family!
We are grateful for your support through the year and we wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you for caring about Peter Bigfoot and his important work spreading the word about Self Reliance and Natural Healing. We also want to give you an update about how things are at the Farm/School.
Peter and Jon had a wonderful and packed full class for the Desert Survival class this year, just what we like to see, however the Acupressure and Herbal Pharmacology methods classes have had to be rescheduled to occur in Phoenix due to the difficulty for students to get to and spend time at Reevis Mountain School. Peter put on a natural healing presentation at the Giving Tree café this week and it was a wonderful event.
We are also super thankful for the wonderful interns and volunteers that have been faithfully contributing their time this season including Peter Wellman and Luis and Mariel and Lucas and Jessica and Jordan and Lee Ann and the list goes on… (apologies to anybody not mentioned)
Now in the category of things we want to help change, there is still not a long term presence of an intern/helper/assistant/cook and/or production/sales manager type person up there. As such we are still reaching out to the whole world in the hopes of finding someone who wants to really “walk the walk” of self reliance, homesteading and etc. In concert with finding that someone we are putting our heads together to help Peter create a sustainable business model that can support such a person or persons. Right now the focus is on reaching out to one and all to find out who might be suitable for such a position as well as being open to how this position can be supported financially using product sales, donations and any and all other means. Please do jump in and contribute ideas, funds and contacts of persons who might want to connect with us on this subject.
There is one other area that we believe that all of us Friends might be able to help with and that is that the old Mitsubishi Montero is showing signs of ending its long and illustrious career with Peter. As such we are on the lookout for a good deal on a Toyota 4Runner from the year 2010 or newer. If anyone out there knows of a such a vehicle for sale and ESPECIALLY if the seller would be interested in some tax write off do let us know, that would make Peters day if we could help him find a suitable replacement vehicle! Likewise if anyone would like to express their gratitude for the work that Peter is doing any donations made on the “FriendsOfReevisMountainSchool.org” website can be noted as being directed toward the purchase of a replacement vehicle. The total cost of such a vehicle is generally in the $20,000 range but any amount will help. If a tax benefit is desired let us know before making the donation and we will run it through the school’s 501-c3.
In closing we all want to reach out to each other and all others connected to the same ideas and express our unending gratitude and love for your thoughts and prayers and support of all types, THANKS!!!
With everlasting gratitude for your support:
The Friends Of Reevis Mountain School.
